1963 - The sky was the limit, but not the sea
Recognizing the signs of the time, MOSOLF got into the import and export business as well: In 1963 the company founded his first subsidiary in the Belgian port of Antwerp, in order to ship German-manufactured cars overseas. Thanks to the development of lowerable loading platforms in the mid-1960s, there was no more need for the laborious task of manoeuvring up to the ramps. Now the drivers could load and unload their cargo in the middle of the stockyard.
Looking back, the office in Antwerp can be regarded as one of the milestones in the company’s success story, with which Mosolf managed the first transport and logistic chains for importing and exporting from arbours, and from the Belgian Opel and Ford factories to Germany and Switzerland.
