The first MOSOLF mobility hackathon in retrospect

The first MOSOLF Mobility Hackathon was an outstanding event for all involved and a complete success.

Last Friday, nearly 30 hackathon enthusiasts met at Etecture in Karlsruhe to prove themselves in two of our given streams. In addition to the technical development of a conceptual business model, the second challenge was the development of new ideas along our digital vision. Supported by design sprint elements, participants started the ideation phase. After each participant had an overview of the variety of topics, six motivated teams formed.

The nearly ten-hour teamwork was characterized by creative work, snippets and handicrafts, smoking developer heads and lots of fun. At the end, the five-member jury had to be convinced by a presentation of the idea or the development. And the teams did not give a damn. In addition to PowerPoint presentations, click dummies and a paper-based app, the jury was also involved in video streams.

Every idea and every pitch was so valuable to us that we were able to take a lot of inspiration, new perspectives and food for thought for all upcoming tasks. With a completely new approach based on technologies such as block chain and deep learning in the sense of our digital vision, the team "Cashcow" ultimately convinced the jury the most. But the second-placed team was also able to impressively demonstrate what the right technology for different business models can look like.

Many thanks to all involved for this successful event!
